How I Shop: 'good Trouble' Star Sherry Cola

Hình ảnh
We all buy clothes, but no two shoppers are alike. It can be a social experience, and a deeply personal one; at times, it can be impulsive and entertaining, at others, purposeful, a chore. Where do you buy things? When do you shop? How do you decide what you need, how much to spend and what is "you"? These are some of the questions we posed to the people featured in the "How I Shop" column.   "Your girl is perfect. You can't define me, baby!" actor, writer and comedian Sherry Cola excitedly said on a call.   She's talking about her eclectic and expressive personal style, but Cola can also talk about her career path, from radio DJ to YouTube star, popular comic to dub. voice for a main character in the upcoming "The Tiger's Apprentice," alongside Sandra Oh and Henry Golding. She also recently joined the cast of Adele Lim's upcoming comedy, and is currently starring as a regular in three seasons (and counting) of the "The Fo...

Great Outfits In Fashion History: Emma Stone In Sequined Chanel

There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you try desperately to recreate at home. In 'Great Outfits in Fashion History,' Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks. There was a period in my life where I thought Emma Stone was quite possibly the chicest celebrity on the planet — I even dyed my hair red at least partially inspired by her (in particular, a tearout I'd saved from an October 2012 issue of Vogue.) It was in the middle of this time, right when she had bleach-blonde hair to play Gwen Stacy in "The Amazing Spiderman," that Stone wore what I'd humbly submit as one of her best red carpet looks of all time. The actor arrived to the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar party wearing this sequined dress from Chanel's Fall 2009 haute couture collection, and it's a stunner: The top is packed with swirls of sequins in pinks, purples and plums, while the skirt is lacy ...

There are those celebrity style moments that fit perfectly, and then there are the moments that really stick with you, the moments you try so hard to recreate at home. In 'The Great Outfits in Fashion History', Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.     We know Mariah Carey loves butterfly prints - she's been incorporating them into her red carpet looks for years, after releasing her eponymous album in 1997. One of the greatest examples of this This is also one of the earliest (and most referenced): her outfit from "VH1's Divas 2000: A Tribute to Diana Ross."   The special was filmed at New York City's Madison Square Garden in April 2000; Carey performed alone and with the woman of the time on stage. In step and repeat, she wore an Emanuel Ungaro beaded butterfly crop top with low-rise low-rise jeans and medium-sized metal sandals. It's basically a Y2K blueprint - so much so that we've seen both Saweetie and Olivia Rodri...

In 'The Great Outfits in Fashion History', Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.     With weekends piled up by the wedding pandemic postponed, it feels like my social media feed has become a Pinterest board for weddings, a bunch of lilies, long trains and lace - just a heavy buffet of tulle and bridal. It's pretty nice, but I'm a bit off. Where to change clothes? Thankfully, scientific geniuses like Solange Knowles have survived and been married on a number of occasions, with ravishing looks worth your reference over and over again.         Beyoncé's super cool sister wore six (!) never-ending ivory outfits to her 2014 wedding festival in New Orleans. Though she's since split from Alan Ferguson, every piece of clothing Knowles wears deserves its own place, e...

It was a lighter occasion than in previous years; The pandemic is still raging in Japan, prompting countries to pull out their athletes over health concerns. However, First Lady Jill Biden was there to help cheer on the athletes from the United States. Doctor. She made the smart choice to re-wear the dress from her wardrobe, last seen under a "LOVE" coat at a June 2021 meeting with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson. In 'Great Outfits in Fashion History,' Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.   With or without context, you've seen the photos: Chloë Sevigny - chic as ever, dressed in Chanel - posing with Maggie Gyllenhaal between the aisles of Target. They appear on the timeline occasionally, sometimes with just a basic story. See, they were taken at the grand opening party of Brooklyn's Atlantic Terminal location in 2004. But you probably wouldn't know that when you look at Sevigny's outfit, it's been around for a long time. the past as a great costume . In the mid-2000s. was even asked about this "cultural artifact" in an interview). )   ...
